Skyline North / Ben Lomond Ride

This was definitely a trail to remember. My brother, my dad, and I decided that we wanted to summit Ben Lomond Peak on dirt bikes, so we loaded up our bikes and drove to the trailhead the next Saturday.

The trail starts in the North Ogden Divide and includes mostly smooth single track, with some steep, rocky switchbacks here and there. It is approximately 8 miles to the summit, with nearly 4,000 feet in elevation gain. The most difficult part of the trail is the final climb to Ben Lomond. The switchbacks become extremely tight and rocky.

When we finally made it to the top, the views were awesome. You could see as far south as Salt Lake City, as far north as the south east corner of Idaho, and east into the Ogden Valley.

The trail became pretty gnarly at times, but in the end it was definitely worth it!
